Frances Lee Mayhew, 87, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, surrounded by family. A devoted follower of Christ through the Baptist faith, she lived with grace, humor, and a boundless love for those around her. Frances loved family, food, and laughter, and her legacy of joy and generosity will live on in all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Heman "Red" Cantrell and Arthur and Grace Dixon; her former husband, Jimmy Mayhew; siblings, James, Arretta, Robert (Bob), Gloria, Polly, and Phillip Cantrell; and her grandson, Scotty Cornett.

She is survived by her children Greg (Norma) Mayhew of Benham, KY, Lisa (Billy) Brown, and Tamara Asberry, all of Russellville; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, siblings, Kathryn Dixon- Sautter of New Washington, Ohio, Betsy Baron, Mae Cantrell, Charles Cantrell, all of Tucson, Arizona, along with many extended family and friends. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their exceptional care.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in the chapel of Broome Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in the funeral home chapel with Evangelist Jimmy Taylor and Pastor David Begley officiating.

So very sorry to learn of Frances passing. I spent a lot of time at the Cantrell's house when we were growing up. Mabel and I were friends. Prayers that God will comfort each of you.
