Frances A. (Bowser) Morse, passed away peacefully at Aston Gardens in Sun City, FL on October 22, 2025. She was with her daughter Susan by her side and surrounded by her family’s love near and far.
Born December 1, 1933, in Amesbury, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Victoria (Romanoski) Bowser. Fran was raised in Amesbury and had a love for the simple small-town life. She acquired a passion for hiking, walking, and mountain climbing.
Fran went to Amesbury High School and met Richard Morse (Dick). He went into the Navy after he graduated. While on leave Fran and he reunited. On September 27, 1953, they married and had three children Susan, Caren and Keith. They were married 59 years. Fran and Dick had a love for all things New England. Trips to Sand Pond, Vermont, and New Hampshire were a few of their favorites. You could see these two-walking hand and hand throughout Amesbury daily.
Fran was a beautiful picture of gracious hospitality to her family, which was her heart and soul especially for her grandchildren. Kerri Elizabeth, Caity, Christopher, and Tyler who loved their Nan dearly. She also had seven great grandchildren who adored their Great Nanny. She loved to bake and cook. Her house would smell of banana bread, toll house cookies, birthday cakes, spaghetti with meatballs and all holiday meals. She made her house a home on Madison Street.
Fran moved to Aston Gardens in Sun City, FL. She was involved with all the activities, games, and movie nights. Fran made many friends and the staff loved her. While she was living there, she met her best friend Dodie, they were always together side by side.
Fran is preceded by her husband Richard Morse, her son Keith Morse, sisters Dorothy Scott and Joanne Hodgdon. She is survived by daughters Susan (Morse) Paszkowski (Tony) from Mulberry, FL , and Caren (Morse) Gosselin (Greg) from Fremont NH; grandchildren Kerri Elizabeth VanBuskirk (Deric) from Kissimmee, FL., Caity Gosselin-Mahram (Atabak) from North Andover, MA., Christopher Morse (Alisha) from Epping NH, and Tyler Morse (Shannon) from Raymond, NH, and great grandchildren Julia, Jordan, Jenna, Evelyn, Ellis, Noraleigh and Sam.
Her legacy will carry on from the wonderful memories we all have.
Funeral and interment arrangements will be announced later; services will be held during the summer.
