Frances Ann "Fran" Beauclerk O'Connor of Norwalk, CT passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, her 92nd birthday.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1933 and her family lived in Woodhaven, Queens. Fran was the daughter of the late Charles Wyndham Beauclerk and Eleanor Thrush Beauclerk.

In the 1950's, the family moved to Bay Colony in Baldwin Harbor, NY.

Fran graduated from Queens College and received her masters degree in education from Hofstra University. She had a passion for teaching and went on to become a lifelong educator. Her career in the Baldwin Public Schools began as a teacher at Harbor School for 14 years before becoming principal of Shubert Elementary School. She retired in 1992 and never lost her love of learning.

Fran and her late husband John “Jack” O’Connor loved to travel, garden and spend time with family and friends. Fran was an avid reader and a great storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor. She loved animals and was hardly ever without a dog and/or cat in her home. Fran was never far from the beach and the salt water. She loved boating, swimming and relaxing in the sun. She spent many happy days at her beloved "Little Beach" in Bay Colony, at Jones Beach with Jack and their friends, on the East End of Long Island and on the beaches of Grand Cayman.

After Jack's death in 2003, Fran remained in Baldwin until moving to Norwalk, CT in 2011.

Fran was an active member of St. Clement’s in Baldwin Harbor and later All Saints' Episcopal Church in Baldwin and most recently St. Paul's on the Green in Norwalk, CT.

In addition to her parents and husband, Fran was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. William Thrush Beauclerk, her son-in-law, Gerald Iver Pace, and her former husband James Otto Zeller. She is survived by her daughter Karen Zeller Pace, grandsons Kevin Wyndham Pace and James Iver Pace, and sister-in-law Melanie Beauclerk Isaacs.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 2 pm at St Paul's on the Green located at 60 East Avenue, Norwalk CT 06851. A reception will follow in the church parlor.
