Frances Williams Preston

When I was in the business world, Frances was clearly the best executive I ever worked for , with all the talents and skills that called for. What I remember most, though, was her heart. She showed that over and over, in big ways and small - in kindnesses no one would ever notice. A queenly presence. A real leader. I feel privileged to have known her. I think of her often. Miss you, Frances, but know you are still with us.

Frances Preson was a very special lady. She came to Carthage, Texas back in 1996 to present an award to Mary Reeves. She had such kind words to say about Mary and Jim and for that I will be eternally grateful. My thoughts and prayer are with the family as I know she will leave a large void in their lives.

She was always very kind, to me, and I appreciated her, for that.

She was a dignified, beautiful champion of every struggling songwriter who came to her door. Because of her strength of character and her intelligence, the "country" songwriter became a valued and esteemed profession.

My sincere sympathy to all the Preston boys and their families. You all are blessed. Now she is your Mother Guardian Angel always watching over you.

Our family has many wonderful memories of time spent with Frances. She was truly a one of a kind, inspirational, hard-working, people-loving, and brilliant when it came to the music business. We will miss her.
