Frances Louise (Lambert) Raschella

Our sweet mother, Frances Louise Raschella (Lambert) passed away on April 22, 2024, at the age of 97 in Mount Pleasant, SC. She was born on November 19, 1926, in Rowlesburg, West Virginia. Frances was a loving, cheerful, and hardworking mother who adored her family. She was known for her kind and compassionate nature and enjoyed making others laugh with her silly antics. She would often do the hula and sing a song to make you smile. 

Frances is survived by her children: Janet (Byron) Waters, Domenick (Colleen) Raschella, Patricia (Manfred) Osti, and Christopher (Terri) Raschella; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Raschella, her parents, Ilario and Lula Lambert, and 7 brothers and 4 sisters.

Frances attended Keyser High School and was a member of Assumption Catholic Church of Keyser, WV. She was an avid bowler and part of the Keyser Bowling League where she excelled and won many awards.  She also enjoyed games, puzzles, and Bananagrams, showcasing her amazing vocabulary and competitive spirit. A simple word would trigger a song…"Oh Johnny", "Mama Dear", "Imagination is Funny". 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26, at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 120 Broad St., Charleston, SC 29401. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. In lieu of flowers, Mass cards will be available. 

Interment will be in Keyser, West Virginia at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.
