Frances Eileen Reyes was born on December 3, 1962, in Belen, New Mexico. She went with our Lord on September 17, 2025, at 6:59 PM in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Frances grew up in Jarales, New Mexico. She went to elementary school in Jarales and attended middle and high school in Belen. She also went to college at UNM-Valencia.
She was a devout Catholic, who loved being a catechist and teaching children about the Lord. She also brought communion to the homes of people who couldn't go to mass. Frances was a member of the Legion of Mary and one of the choir members in La Gran Pastorela.
Frances was an employee at the old training school in Los Lunas. After that, she worked at the Public Health of New Mexico and then as a bus aide at Adelino Head Start.
Frances was kind and compassionate to everyone she met in her life. She had a bubbly spirit and knew how to lift other people's spirits.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Leonor Rafalita Benavidez, and her father, Pedro Celestino Benavidez. Frances is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Manuel Reyes Castro; two children, Frances Leanor Reyes and Manuel Fabian Reyes. her only granddaughter, Amara Eileen Carbajal; her beloved siblings, Daniel Benavidez and wife Deborah Benavidez, Celestino Benavidez, Elizabeth Mora and husband Raul Mora, Raymond Benavidez and all her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services to honor Frances' life will take place on Monday October 6, 2025 at San Francisco Xavier Catholic Mission Church, in Jarales.
Visitation will begin at 09:00am, rosary to take place at 10:00am, Mass wil begin promptly at 10:30am.
A reception will take place, following services, at 12pm, at Our Lady of Belen Parish Hall, 101-A N 10th St., Belen, NM 87002.
Funeral arrangements were trusted to Noblin Funeral Service, Belen, 418 W. Reinken Avenue Belen, NM 87002, (505) 864-4448.
