Frances Marie "Owens" Robinson

Frances Marie Robinson, Age 82, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Frances was born August 18, 1943 in Forest, Mississippi to he late Jim Owen and Katie McDuffy-Owens.

She accepted Christ at and early age under the leadership of Reverend Wright of Mt Olive Baptist Church in Mississippi.

Frances Graduated From East Scott High School in 1962, Lake Mississippi. She later relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she met her husband Peter Robinson. From that union they welcomed their daughter Kimberly Robinson (Rogers). In 1972 they relocated to Toledo, Ohio, where she became a member of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church.

Frances work as a press operator for 25 years at Jeep Assembly Plant retiring in 2000. After retirement Frances went back to work for Toledo Building Service for another 10 years.

Frances enjoyed watching her television game shows with Steve Harvey being her favorite. She also enjoyed attending Worship Service on Sundays, where she was a very active member going beyond the Walls Ministry. Frances also took pleasure in traveling to see her family and friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her father Jim Owen and mother Katie McDuffy-Owens; brothers, Fred, EJ, Jack, and Herbert Owens; sisters, Ruth Hicks, Mae Bell Taylor, Abbie Ree Owens and Mae Abbie Kennedy (who were twins) Lucille Gavins, Louisteen Ford.

She leaves to cherish Her memories her daughter, Kimberly Robinson-Rogers; grandchildren, Justin Cummings and Myshala Cummings; great grandchildren, Mayliah Watkins, Sienna and Armon Cummings; sister Louise Owens Hall from Indianapolis, Indiana and a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

She will be remembered and missed by many.
