FRANCES LYVONNE “VONNIE” SAVOY, 69, beloved wife of David Lawrence Savoy, passed away Tuesday evening, January 16, 2024 in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Vonnie was a daughter of the late Franklin Young and June Hall Young. She retired from Savannah River Site as an office coordinator. She loved fishing, camping, traveling, cruising, shopping and coffee.
Surviving is her husband of 43 years, David; two daughters, Angela Johnson, Phoenix, AZ, Brandy Gunnels, Aiken; two sons, Timothy Savoy (Brandy), Evans, GA, Christopher Savoy, Aiken; 11 grandchildren, Destiny, Tavian, Colt, Grayson, Dylan, Austin, Wren, Matthew, Devon, Skylar and Araya; brother, Ricky Young (Theresa), Jackson, SC; sister, Renee Boatwright (Monty), Aiken; mother-in-law, Margit Savoy, Augusta, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joanie French.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, January 20, 2024 beginning at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock with The Rev. Dr. Brad Willis officiating. Entombment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
