FRANCES SCOTT WHOLEY

WHOLEY, Frances Scott, age 89, of Lawrenceville, Va., passed away May 21, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. "Sonny" Wholey; her daughter, Alice Wholey Lyons; and her siblings, Evelyn Scott, Anna S. Spence, Joseph C. Scott, and Robert I. Scott Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Anne Garrison and husband, Timothy, of Roanoke; her son-in-law, Ralph Larry Lyons of Powhatan; her brother, George Leroy Scott and wife, Mary Ellen, of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Matthew C. Garrison and wife, Trina, of Williamsburg, Meredith G. Johnson and husband, Daniel, of Midlothian, and Walter L. Lyons and wife, Carter, of Glen Allen; and her great-grandchildren, Garrison, Kate Roland, Turner, Eli, Josiah, Gillian and Tucker. Frances was retired from the Bank of America and a member of Lawrenceville Baptist Church. The family is grateful to Our Lady of the Valley / Sullivan Center, Good Samaritan Hospice; and special caregiver, Lucia Abdelrahman for the exceptionally tender care of Frances during her illness. Her faith, her family and her friends were the sources of her joy. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville with interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends following the interment at Lawrenceville Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
