Francis E. Daignault

Still thinking about Frank and the family immortalized in his book Twenty Years on the Cape. A snapshot of a time long past, and never to be repeated. Some from the long gone stripersurf still remember and post on Facebook. Condolences to the family... as I was known on that board "Rob" from Tinton Falls.

Frank inspired me and many like me to venture out onto slippery rocks and sandy beaches at night to enjoy the wonderful hobby of surf fishing. He will be remembered forever through his eternal contribution to his readers.

Sincere condolences to Joyce and family. Frank was a wonderful sportsman, and an outstanding writer. He joins Frank Woolner and Van Campen Heilner in the outdoor writers Hall of Fame

Frank was the "auteur célèbre" on the so named Stripersurf.com and we all miss both the site named after his signature title as well as the many Frank-isms he shared on a daily basis. I never got to meet Frank in person but had many online exchanges with him. Please know that many from that old site miss him and I pray for peace for the entire family!

So sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man.. He was one of the many on the beach that night that saved my life back in 1975 at the cape, race point. He will be missed.

I am so sorry. Joyce and Frank came to our last SSc Bash and both were a pleasure to talk to. I truly hope he and Bob D are swapping stories again.

Joyce and family, my sincerest condolences of your loss of Frank. He was an inspiration to me and many surfcasters of our generation. No one recorded the history of the greatest era in striped bass fishing like Frank did. He will be missed.

He was always so gracious and kind.He loved to tell his stories,but also would listen intently to yours.He was a legend and will be missed.His memory will live on in his books.I treasure them.
