I had known Frank from working with him as a cook at the Bradford House at WT Grants in Pompton Plains. We remained close for several years after he left Grants. We both had gone on plenty of double dates over several years. He was generally a reserved kind of guy, but we would always Crack jokes and shared plenty of laughter.

I was an usher in his wedding, and he was an usher in mine. We lost touch somewhere in the mid 1990s. He was always a Mopar Man, keeping his older Plymouth in tip top shape.

See you on the other side, Frank. God Bless You

Remembering Francis on the 20th anniversary of 9/11...

So sorry for your lost. It is very difficult to lose a love one. There are satisfying answers to life big questions. Please read Proverbs 2:1-5

As I watched the events unfold on September 11, 2001, I did not know that I was losing a member of my family that day. A cousin I never knew, but recently discovered. I am a distant cousin of Francis and my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Richard Feiner

September 12, 2011

My name is Richard (Rick) Feiner, and I knew Frank well when we were kids growing up on Ackerson Avenue in Pequannock. Frank was so smart, and so organized, I knew he was going far when he got older, and he sure did.
We lost touch after High School. He went on to college and business, and I moved out west to work on a ranch.
Since I learned of his death, shortly after the Trade Center disaster, not a day goes by that I don't think about him, and the tragedy his family has endured.
The reading of the names this year was especially moving, because not only has Frank's name been spoken aloud again to a still grieving America, but there is now a strikingly simple and, somehow, beautiful memorial, with his name carved in the stone of its face, in the place where he fell.
Frank will never be forgotten, and I, my wife Barbara, and our daughter Brandis, wish all of his loving family some measure of peace. God speed, Frank.

I didn't know Frank very well, but I used to see him at the swimming pool where his son Craig competed along side my son. I only met him once, to my knowledge, at a high school sports awards dinner, when we sat together. Frank's son Brian and my daughter were seniors, and were co-captains of their cross country teams.
Even though I live in an area where many were lost, Frank was my only personal connection to the tragedy, and I watch for his name to be read at each memorial service. I just want the family to know that even among those whose lives he briefly passed through, he is not forgotten.

I knew Frank well, my Uncle and cousins were his very good friends. I grew up in Ridgewood, NJ very close to where Frank lived and I was very upset when I found out that he passed away tragically in the horrible attacks. I am writing this watching the news that Osama bin Laden was killed. I am very happy to hear that, and Frank was one of my first thoughts. I am happy to be the first one to post since that news has come out. For all who are curious, Frank was a wonderful and good man. My deepest sympathies to his children.

I've never met Francis nor any of the others that died that day ... I will never know the grief the families and friends felt that day. I only know that five years later it still brings tears to my eyes when I see the stories and the documentaries on TV or a website I pass through. I saw Francis's name and this link on a thread on a racing website in tribute to 9/11 five years later. Francis's brother, Mike is a good friend to one of the members there. I just had to come and read about such a wonderful person who touched the lives of many and now mine, though I've never known him or his brother. May he rest in peace and watch over this nation as I know he watches over all of his family and friends. In life he was a hero in Heaven he is an Angel :)

Rest well Francis Xavier Deming

Last night I was given Francis' name to read during a Requiem Mass. As I read his name, other people read all the other names. It was an honor to try and help commemorate this horrendous loss. Please know we will never forget. With sympathy,

I cannot even begin to express the deep sorrow I feel for the Deming family at the loss of Frank. What has become of the world when someone cannot even safely go to work and provide for his/her family. My heart goes out to his wife Brooke, his kids Brian, Craig, Christopher, Jeffrey and Brooke. Also to his sister Rose and brothers, Tom, Michael, Robert and Pat. And of course to his mom. Know that you have a wonderful guardian angel looking over you, guiding you and keeping you safe.

Much Love...

We are deeply sorry for your loss of Francis. The strength he gave others and being a quiet hero speaks volumes of his heart without saying a word. May Francis's warmth, strength, life and love continue living in those who love him. May you always feel the warmth of his love radiate into your hearts. Our hearts cry with you in your loss of Francis.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
