Francis P. Fochtman

Francis P. "Frank" Fochtman, 82, of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. He was born on Oct. 22, 1942, in Somerset, the son of the late George and the late Luella (Shroyer) Fochtman. Frank was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, Frank worked for Volkswagen, Sony, and Wilson Freight of Somerset. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, watching baseball, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Varchetti) Fochtman; his children, Richard Fochtman and his wife, Beth of Pittsburgh, Mark Croner of Greensburg, and Lorri Gavriel of Hagerstown; and his grandchildren, who he adored spending time with, Kacey Croner, Rylee Furstenberg, Asher Gavriel, and Hailey, Chelsey, and Sydney Fochtman. Frank is also survived by his sister, Margaret Fochtman of Somerset. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Fochtman; and his grandson, Logan Fochtman. A visitation for family and friends will be held from noon to 2 p.m., on Saturday, April 19, 2025, followed by a memorial service, in the C. RICHARD MCCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., 101 S.
