Francis Xavier Fanning passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026 after a brief illness. He recently celebrated his 95th birthday surrounded by loved ones. Frank was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn Fanning (nee Wilzbacher). He was the cherished father of Deborah (Stephen) Behrends and Patricia (John) Broshar; the adored Papa of grandchildren Kathryn (Anne) Behrends, Jeffrey (Gina) Behrends, Kevin (Kimberly) Behrends, and Michael Behrends (Katherine); the sweet Papa of great grandchildren Frank, Emily, George, Rudy and Caroline; the loving brother of Don Fanning; special brother-in-law of Jane Osterholz. Frank also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.
Frank was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War; an accomplished accountant by profession; a voracious reader; an avid golfer; a die-hard Bengals' fan; a lover of good food and cold beer shared by enjoyable company. But most important to him was his precious family and Catholic faith. He was a member of Guardian Angels parish for over 66 years.
Special thanks to the amazing caregivers and staff at Marjorie P. Lee and Queen City Hospice. Your expertise and gentle care will be forever remembered. While we are heartbroken to lose our dear Dad, we take great solace in knowing he is reunited with our Mom whom he dearly loved.
Mass of Christian Burial January 22, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Church. Visitation at the Church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to Mass. Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels Church, 6531 Beechmont Ave., Cinti., OH 45230. T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home serving the family.
Semper Fi, Dad!
