Francis B. Green

1962 - 2023

Francis B. Green, 61, of Rio Grande, NJ, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Thomas and Margaret Connelly Green and moved to Rio Grande three years ago from Glendora, NJ. He was a member of Chews United Methodist Church in Glendora and the First United Methodist Church in Cape May Court House. Frank was employed as a jockey driver at Gloucester Terminals for 25 years.
Frank was an incredible family man. He was devoted to his children, grandchildren, and mother and loved playing with his grandchildren. He was a proud Haddon Heights Band Parent, volunteering and attending each marching band and color guard competition to support them. He enjoyed cars, the beach, biking, swimming, camping, and especially his cheesesteaks and candy. He participated in as many neighborhood events as he could while fighting his disease. He always had a smile for everyone he met along his way. His road was a hard one, but he ran it with dignity and grace.
Frank is survived by his wife Barbara, his daughters Meghan (John) Busch and Kelly Green, his sister Margaret (Walter) Schuman, his brother John Green, his grandsons John and Jameson, his niece Maggie, and many cousins. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his brother Thomas.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1 Church Street, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Donations in Frank's memory may be made for the Environmental Trust of the Borough of Cape May Point to the Borough of Cape May Point, PO Box 490, Cape May Point, NJ 08212 with Environmental Trust on the memo line.
