More than 14 years after your death I still have your picture from your condolence card. What a great smile. I remember our last conversation at Chip Browns apartment on Shore Road. How happy you were to speak of your two young rugrats as you called your young daughters. On the day of your birth Christmas Day 1952 your dad came to our house on 72 street & knocked over the Christmas tree!!! I remember you at many McGuinn family gatherings singing away with such joy & enthusiasm. You had the ability to light up a room. You are gone but not Forgotten Frankie.

My name is Jerah. I became very close and dear friends with your daughter Dani in 2007. We drove across the country together in her prius from los angeles to new york. It took us 5 days and was a beautiful time. When we arrived at your home in Rye, your wife Lynn was very kind to me and has been ever since. In 2012 I was at your home for the holidays. Dani and I watched movies in the basement. At one point I got lost looking for a bathroom down there and opened up a door to a big closet. In the closet were all of your belongings. Hanging were several suits. I realized where I had entered and knew it was the place where Lynn kept your things to cherish. I touched a suit and thought of you and wished you happiness to wherever you are now. In 2013, I lost my boyfriend of 7 years and I have a closet of his things that I also cherish. Of course you will never get this message, but it feels good to be able to have a place to tell you a story of how I know of you and what I know of you and that even in others until this day of january 13, 2015 you will still not be forgotten.

I had the pleasure of meeting Frank several times through mutual friends. He had such a presence about him and was the most wonderful man. It is truly sad to have lost such a dynamic person. My thoughts go out to his family.

To the McGuinn family, I saw your story last night on MSNBC, and was so touched by your strength and insight. Your older daughter looks exactly like her Dad, and I hope you find comfort in seeing her beautiful face. I am a former New Yorker (SI) and my heart goes out to you and your family. God bless you and continue to give you the strenth to carry on.

I only knew of Frank through his brother Ed, who was my roommate at Colgate University in the early 70's. It was clear that Ed revered his younger brother, and thought the world of him. My thoughts and prayers are with entire McGuinn family during these trying times.

God bless.

Frank was a classmate of mine at Iona Prep. I remember him as a good guy, funny and loyal. I, like so many others, was deeply saddened when I learned of his passing. He will be greatly missed by so many whose lives he touched.

We are very sorry for your loss of Francis. May his enjoyment of music, his life and love live on through his family and those who love him. Our hearts cry with you.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Frank's brother, Ed McGuinn, was a classmate of mine at Iona Prep in New Rochelle, NY. Frank graduated a year behind us. We had some good times together, and I will always remember Frank with a smile on his face. I want to extend my sincerest condolences to Frank's wife and daughters and the entire family. His legacy will live on in the American spirit.

Frank gave me my start in the brokering industry at Chapdelaine back in 1990. He was quite a character but also he was very important to my career. I have not seen him for a long time but he will always been in my memory. I want to send to his wife and children my most sincere sorrow and hope that they cherish the wonderful memories that they have of him.
