Francis Loren "Frank" Miller, a lifelong resident and cherished member of the Oklahoma farming and business communities, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. Born on January 3, 1950, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, to Harold and Velma (Caywood) Miller, Frank grew up on the family farm near Jet surrounded by siblings and extended family.
He put his faith in Jesus Christ as a young child and attended the Vining Church in Nescatunga, as well as Methodist churches in Jet, Cherokee, and Stillwater, which were a meaningful part of his life.
Frank was known for his calm demeanor and steady presence. He never raised his voice or lost his temper and was admired for his patience and kindness. His grandchildren lovingly called him "Papa."
He attended elementary school in Jet, Oklahoma, where he met the fiery redhead who would become his beloved wife, Debbie Geitgey. They were married on June 6, 1970, a partnership that lasted 55 years, marked by deep love and commitment. Their marriage was his greatest treasure.
Frank graduated from Jet High School in 1968 and pursued higher education at Oklahoma State University before transferring to Northwestern Oklahoma State University to better support both family farms and be close to Debbie. He earned his degree in business from Northwestern and quickly established himself in the banking and real estate sectors in Waynoka, Cherokee, and later Stillwater.
Known for his sharp business sense and deep knowledge of banking and real estate, Frank helped countless people buy and sell properties, always serving with integrity and dedication. He took great pride in his work and the role he played in his community, often saying he never wished to retire.
Beyond his professional life, Frank loved bringing the family together for cookouts, grilling the best steaks, and making his signature baked beans-always with a bit of bacon grease and seasoning added just right. A passionate sports fan, he enjoyed watching all kinds of games but was especially excited to cheer on his children and grandchildren as they played.
After a stay in the intensive care unit in October and a second diagnosis of cancer, Frank asked his doctor if he could return to work and attend his grandkids' football game that very night - a testament to his resilience and devotion to family.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, Mandi Robison (spouse Steve), Lindsey McMillan, and Nicole Johnson (spouse Charlie); his siblings, Connie Currie (widow of the late Dick Currie), John and Judy Poovey; and the memory of his brother Mike Miller (deceased); and his beloved grandchildren, Maci, Parker (spouse Kaylee), Hunter, Chandler, and Cyrus.
Frank also considered Debbie's parents, John and Jane Geitgey (deceased), and sister Jonna his own family and loved them dearly.
The family is deeply grateful for the friendships and support of Frank's colleagues at Oklahoma Closing and Title.
A celebration of Frank's life will be held at a later date.
