Francis J. "Fran" Taddy

Francis "Fran" J. Taddy, age 66, of Two Rivers passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
Fran was born January 16, 1958, in Two Rivers, son of the late Victor and Sylvia (Gehrke) Taddy. He was a graduate of Washington High School with the class of 1977, where he excelled in running for the Raiders. He married Dawn LeClair in 1983 and had three daughters Marcia, Diana, and Catherine who he cherished.
Fran enjoyed being a Dad and Grandpa, retrieving his daily coffee before admiring the waves crashing against the shore of Lake Michigan Beach, seeing what the day's catch was on the pier, and cheering his daughters on in sports. He loved "Catching One" with his brothers on the parent's land, chatting on the phone with his daughters, and hooting and hollering for the Packers in his Packer Cave. But most of all, Fran enjoyed making others smile. He was a man who loved deeply and celebrated other's success right along with them. The relationships he has cultivated throughout his life will be cherished and missed profoundly.
After graduation, Fran worked for Verizon Systems as a Telecommunication Installation Specialist, where he achieved an early retirement due to his natural hard work and dedication. During retirement, Fran fully embraced his hobbies of growing strawberries, cooking for friends, woodworking, biking, and walking the Point Beach Trails.
Survived by his three daughters: Marcia Taddy (Corey Straubhaar), Diana (Aaron) Brookens, and Catherine Taddy; as well as grandchildren: Jace and Iris Straubhaar-Taddy, Adelyn, Briella, Cecilia, and Aaron Jr. Brookens. Siblings include Jennie (Jody) Smith, Chris (Kathy) Taddy, and Ted (Linda) Taddy; as well as several nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. Fran was preceded in death by his parents: Victor & Sylvia Taddy; siblings: Evelyn Pollock, Theresa Taddy, and Victor Taddy Jr.
Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m.
