Francis W. "Frank" Trelegan

Frankie (I always called him that as a kid. My Dad, Newey, must have called him that) was a hero to me as a kid. I reached out to him a few years back to tell him so.
He stopped a bully from picking on me when I walked to ME Fitzgerald in Cambridge. I never forgot it.
He was such a sweet man and I got to talk to him at my mother´s service in May.
He told me some stories about my Dad. He was fond of his Uncle Newey.
Mary Ellen, Maureen and Brian: I don´t remember you as well, but I wish we cousins were closer growing up.
I have touched base with Uncle Robert´s two daughters: Jody and Kim over the last few years. Jody texted me when she had her first grandchild to see if I had a picture of Matt. Both boys looked like Trelegans for sure.
Your Dad looked so much like his dad, my Uncle Francis. I seem to recall Uncle Francis was at our house often. The brothers seemed close. Again wish we all knew each other better.
Nana Trelegan visited our house some and I have a few pictures of her but she seemed very shut down and not a very happy woman. Maybe losing her husband so early. My dad never knew his Dad.
That Frankie was at my mother´s service only three months back shows so much about his character. Your dad was special.
