Francis "Frank" Trusky
October 21, 1937 - December 21, 2025
Francis "Frank" Jerome Trusky, The Villages, Florida, went home to meet the heavenly father on December 21, 2025 at the age of 88.
Frank was born to Viola Anne (Carlson) and Francis Joseph Trusky in Waukegan, IL on Oct 21, 1937.
Frank graduated from Waukegan High School with the 1955 class in Waukegan, IL. Upon graduation he attended Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL where he studied Industrial education and received a bachelor's degree in 1959 and his Masters in 1966.
He met the love of his life Elizabeth A (Musur) Trusky on a blind date at a church sponsored swimming party at Cedar Lake in Lake Villa, IL during the summer of 1954. They were married at St. Anastasia church in Waukegan, IL on August 6, 1960, and went on to have four children Laurie, Lenard, Larry and Julie. They moved to Kenosha in 1965 and resided there until Frank's retirement in 2000. They moved to The Villages, Florida in 2012 where they lived and enjoyed retirement. Frank was especially proud of his lake home in Summit Lake Wisconsin and living the life as 'Snowbirds'.
Frank's teaching career took him from Jack Benny Jr High in Waukegan, IL to Amos Alonzo Stagg High school in Worth, IL and finally to Kenosha Technical Institute (currently Gateway Technical College) where he taught for 34 years and was considered an expert in his field. He loved his students and took pride in their career paths post college. Frank also owned and operated Trusky's Electronic Services where he provided his expertise in being able to diagnose/repair/ install anything electrical or electronic. He was everyone's "phone a friend" in this area.
Frank enjoyed everything technical and outdoors. He and Betty were active members of the NCHA Kenosha Ramblers camping club where they met and cherished many lifelong friends. He was an avid Erector set collector and a member of the A.C Gilbert Heritage Society.
He is survived by his brother Dale C. Trusky his children, Laurie A. (Fred) Stemmeler; Lenard (Lisa Benn) Trusky; Larry (Julie A.) Trusky; Julie A. (Tim) Schwarz; his ten grandchildren, Zachary K. Trusky; Ashley (Luke) Davey; Alexander F. (Stephanie) Trusky; Eric L. (Audrey) Stemmeler; Megan R. Trusky; Aidan P. Trusky; Ava G. Schwarz; Casimir E.G. Schwarz; Joseph M. Stemmeler; Bennett C. Schwarz; three step-grandchildren Christopher M. Benn; Taylor M. Benn; Tori A. (Jordan) Riccio; seven great grandchildren, Lucy M. Trusky; Eli D. Weisman; Delaney R. Trusky; Ali R. Weisman; Josephine E. Davey; Lola A. Trusky; Luca F. Davey; and three step-grandchildren; Vera H. Tenuta-Benn; Giovanni S. Riccio; Marcelo J. Benn.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" (Musur) Trusky, his brother Raymond J. Trusky, his parents, Viola A, (Carlson) Trusky and Francis J. Trusky Sr.
The family wants to extend a special thank you to the staff at UF Heath Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages, FL and The Villages Hospice House in Lady Lake, FL for their wonderful and compassionate care.
Visitation will be held at St Anne's Catholic Church, 9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158 on January 02, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at Noon. Interment will be held privately at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the SCID Foundation C/O Francis J. Trusky (
