Francisco Ayala Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Central Chapel Funeral & Cremation Southwest on Feb. 16, 2026.
Francisco Ayala III,

75, longtime resident of Chicago, passed away peacefully February 16, 2026. Devoted son of the late Francisco Ayala Jr. and the late Maria Ruiz; cherished father of Melinda Hines, Francisco Ayala, and Cesar Ayala; loving brother of Maria (late Rolando) Ayala, the late Rosa (late Alex) Caro, the late Jorge (Catherine) Ayala, the late Ernesto (Leticia) Ayala, the late Juan Ayala, Alberto (late Keri) Ayala, the late Celia (Jaime) Medrano, Javier Ayala, and the late Antonio (late Barb) Ayala; dearest grandfather of many including Anthony, the late Miranda, Matthew, and Mya; caring great grandfather of Jasiah and Aaliyah. Francisco was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Francisco was a proud veteran that served in the Vietnam War. He happily spent many years with his significant other. Francisco cherished time spent and being around his family. And he loved watching television in his spare time.

As he was known to many for his nickname "Cisco", he was described as the jokester of the family, a very funny and outgoing personality. Francisco would do painting jobs in his free time on houses, and he absolutely loved doing it. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him but never forgotten.

Cremation has taken place in accordance with his wishes.
