Francisco Julio "Franky Streetz" Gomes

New Bedford - Francisco Julio Gomes 39, passed away October 11, 2025.
Franky was born and raised in New Bedford, MA by his late mother Avis Gomes and his father Francisco Depina. Franky was commonly recognized as Franky Streetz. His passion since he was a little boy was making music. Nothing made him happier than being in the studio and rapping. He used to love to draw. When he was just five years old, he drew a picture of Jesus. His desire was to know Jesus since a young boy. Franky died far too young, before he could see his life fully blossom into all the greatness that was ahead of him. He possessed a natural gift for connecting with people, a presence so strong that it could be felt even without words. He lived with passion, spoke with conviction, and carried himself with a sense of purpose that inspired those around him. Franky was a son, brother, and father who will be remembered by his family and those who knew him. Though life brought its challenges, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior, where there is no pain-only eternal joy.
In John 3:16 we are reminded of God's promise:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
He is survived by his beloved children, Isaiah Gomes, Gabriel Gomes, Kyah Gomes, Aliya Gomes, Francisco Jr., and Avis De La Paz Gomes. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings - Elizabeth Gomes, Stephanie Depina, Jason Depina, Keana Gomes and Madlen Depina; as well as two nephews, one niece, and several aunts and uncles.
