Francisco Odon age 74. Beloved husband of Lilia (nee Ypil). Loving father of Gen, Gigi, and Gret (Nate) Tunberg. Dearest grandfather of Aaron Nichols and Brian Baum.
Dear brother of Lorna (+Joebel), Bernadette (+Antonio), Rudy (Crisanta), Terry (Nestor), Lolita, Ma. Fe, Anabelle (Rey) and the late +Edward and +Robert (+Jeanne).
Francisco was born on June 16th, 1950 to Juanita and Eladio Odon in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental Philippines. He attended school in La Consolacion College, La Carlota City and graduated with a degree in Bachelors of Science in Commerce.
The old man had no specific hobbies. It was all about interests. Whether it was funny shows on tv; documentaries about building things; YouTube videos, you'll find him curiously laughing at everything. His love for flashlights was something else! If you couldn't find him inside the house, he was somewhere outside doing something. Whether it was tinkering with the backyard or handwashing cars with a bucket full of soap and sponges, the man was always on the move. Francisco was a jack of all trades, and a master of every single one of them. If he didn't know how to do something, he figured out a way to get it done. His life stories were out of this world, but if you knew the man, you'd completely understand how and why.
He saw everyone as family. Whether he just met you today, worked with you for years or have been friends for a long time, you were family to him. He worked tirelessly, day in and day out to provide for everyone. He never said no to anyone until it came for himself. He was extremely prideful of who he was and the things he did in life.
Francisco was full of life. He loved his family and grandchildren, but most especially his love for his wife, Lilia was unmatched. They were lovingly married for 51 years and were inseparable. She was his world and he is hers.
Visitation will be held Tuesday and Wednesday April 8th and 9th from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and funeral services Thursday 10:00 AM from TOHLE FUNERAL HOME 4325 W. Lawrence Ave. to ST. EDWARD CHURCH 4350 W. Sunnyside Ave.,
Mass 10:30 AM.
