Francisco Javier Reyes

Francisco Javier Reyes, age 62, of Lancaster, California, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with ALS. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, Javier's life was defined by his deep love for family, strong faith and unwavering dedication to the people around him.

Born on December 24, 1963, in Mexico, Javier grew up valuing hard work, loyalty, and kindness – qualities that shaped every part of his life. He married the love of his life, Juliet with whom he shared 39 wonderful years. Together, they built a family grounded in laughter, love and respect. Javier took pride in being the father of two and the grandfather of six. He was also the oldest child of 6 siblings.

Beyond his home, Javier was a dedicated member of his community. His passion for soccer led him to coach countless young athletes, teaching them not only about the game but also about teamwork. In his faith life, Javier was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus Lancaster Council and faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. His Catholic faith set the foundation for his love of God and his neighbors. Following the commandments of God was always a number one priority for Javier. His love of God infected so many of his loved ones who strayed away from the Catholic faith. Javier's endurance and sufferings with ALS for two short years, showed us that suffering is the greatest gift of our faith and the true definition of love as he followed in Jesus' suffering and death for everyone's salvation.
