Diane, I don't know that you'll still get this, but today was my father, Jack "Smitty" Smith's anniversary & your father came to my mind. Dad enjoyed his time working at FEC with your father & meeting beauty queen Diane & legend Howie. I did keep in touch w your father for yrs. Just wanted you to know I'm thinking of him.

Dear Diane, I was sad to hear of Frank's leaving us. I am glad though to know of the legacy he left. He was such a character and I loved going to the house and I'm sorry that I couldn't help him more. I am glad to know that you were able to have him in your life for so long. There must be a great place reserved for him in heaven. If you need anything please let me know. Nathan Johnson

Cousin Jim and Diane
I spoke to my father yesterday and he told me Uncle Frank passed away last week (on my Dad's birthday). Uncle Frank was the kindest and thoughtful person anyone could have ever met. He was always kind to my mother as well as my brother and I. He helped me get through some very difficult times and he will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
With Love

Diane,
I am so sorry I couldn't be at the service for you dad this past weekend. Our families go way back, back to the Swim Star Swim Club (Middletown Swim & Tennis Club, now) in good old Middletown. The memories of those summers can't be shared without seeing your mom and dad on the sidelines encouraging someone to give it their best! If it was swimming, tennis, tetherball or shuffleboard, your mom and dad were always the cheerleaders! The story of my first jump off the high dive is always highlighted by memories of your mom and dad paying me to jump! I did it! Happy memories. My heart goes out to you in this sad time and just know they both will always live through the many stories we share with our family as we remember sharing a cabana with you and the Vitacco family. These past few years I would see mom and dad at Shady Oaks at the pool but I understand when mom passed, dad moved south. I sent him a Christmas card this past year and I am not sure he got it. Diane, your mom and dad will live in all of our hearts. I love you sweetie and miss seeing you. God Bless you all,

Dear Diane,

I know it's been about 35 years or so since we've seen each other, but I just saw this today and wanted to offer you my sincere condolences. I actually remembered your Dad a little bit, and when I saw his picture I smiled. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love,

I remember meeting your dad at the New Shrewsbury Fair and what a proud father he was, and then running into him again back in our days at Villanova. He was such a kind and gentle man. Someone that this world needs more of.

My family and I would like to send our

Dear Diane & Family,
Your father was and always will remain with me a charming, soft spoken, gentleman. I will cherish my childhood memories of him, your mother and your grandparents, always remembering the kindness they extended to all of my family. His subtle manner and genuine good nature is something we will truly miss and is somewhat hard to find in this fast paced world. "Hail fellow well met"!
My heartfelt condolences,

Howie and Diane, I feel as though I knew your father through Tammy (my daughter), she adored him...Everyday she would tell me a story about him...she loved caring for your father. She will miss him as well as your family. It is very difficult to have someone linger in sickness...he is now at peace. Thanks for being such a caring person to Tammy also. My condolences to all your family and friends. Lou Fitzgerald Crozet, Va.
