John 11:33 says: "When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who had come with her weeping and groaning, he groaned within himself and became troubled." Jesus expressed tears when his friend Lazarus died, he knows how it feels to lose a dead loved one and he understands what you and your family are experiencing. May this bring you and your family comfort in this time of need. cjp (fla.)

To the family: May the comfort from family and friends continue to strengthen you, and may you find comfort in the words found in the Holy Scriptures: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

I lived next door to Mr. Frank in Lakeview, and there isn't a day that passes that I don't think of him.

So many things I miss---hearing him saying "Hey, Kid" every time I saw him, watching his face light up every time I took my little chihuahuas over to his front porch to visit, watching him stroke the stray cats in the neighborhood that wouldn't allow another soul to come near them, and most of all, listening to his stories about his years in Lakeview.

My husband Ron and I moved to Mobile last month because of his job, but I feel very fortunate to have a "part" of Mr. Frank with me every day. He gave me two large concrete flower pots because he was always watching me planting and watering the many plants that belonged to Mrs. Quaintance and myself. Those pots are now filled with bright yellow and red flowers in my front yard and will be tended day after day...while Mr. Frank watches over me and says, "Hey Kid."
