Age 80, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Beloved Husband of the late Lillian M. (Dunay) Balkovec. Loving Father of Marlene M. (Lou) Angelo, Frank P. (Vonda) Balkovec and Robert M. (Melissa) Balkovec. Cherished pappy of Breanne (Brandon), Angelica (Ryan), Brittney, Madison, Marissa, Jordan, Dominic, Peyton and Josh. Loving great pappy of Angelo, James and Nino. Beloved son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Cvetnick) Balkovec. Loving brother of Frances (the late Rich) Vogaski and the late John (surviving spouse Dolly) Balkovec. Also survived by many Nieces and Nephews. Family and friends welcome Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm WM. SLATER & SONS INC. (412-381-3345) 301 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington 15211. Funeral Mass Saturday 10:00 am Mary Queen of Peace Parish, St. Mary of the Mount Church. Burial to follow in Mount Lebanon Cemetery with military honors.
