CAÑAS Frank Cañas Jr., age 80, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 13, 2025. He was born on June 17, 1945, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to his beloved parents, Francisco and Emma Cañas. Frank was a proud 1964 graduate of Miller High School. He dedicated over 30 years of his life working as an operator for Shell Oil Refinery before retiring. A man of strong faith and service, Frank was deeply involved in his church communities, generously giving his time to Blessed Juan Diego Catholic Church in Pasadena, Texas, and Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Benavides, Texas. Frank found great joy in the simple pleasures of life-spending time at his home and ranch, working with his hands through woodcraft, hunting, and maintaining the land he loved. He also cherished his time at his sons' Michael, JAMAC Ranch. A skilled woodworker, Frank often created and donated handmade wood crafts to various organizations, always giving from the heart. He also volunteered as a church custodian, living a life marked by service, humility, and dedication. Frank's legacy of hard work, generosity, and faith will be forever cherished by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice " Bea" G.
