Frank Allen Carroll, 87, passed away at his home in Homosassa, Florida on May 22, 2021. He was born in Nicholasville, KY to Henry and Gladys (Bryan) Carroll on February 22, 1934. He served in the United States Air Force for 24 years and was a Vietnam War veteran. Throughout his career, he was deployed to Alaska, Japan, Guam, and Vietnam. Frank retired as a Master Sergeant in 1975.
Throughout his life, Frank loved to ride motorcycles and was a car enthusiast. He was an avid sports fan and lifelong fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Later in life, he played golf and was a movie buff.
Frank is preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Carroll Vaught and granddaughter, Emily Carroll. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patsy Trimble Carroll; three sons, Gerald Carroll of Crystal River, FL, Jeffrey (Jolean) Carroll of Phoenix, AZ, Scott Carroll of Cleveland, OH; two daughters, Cindy Curry of Nicholasville, KY, Marilee Carroll of Homosassa, FL; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Frank will be buried along with Pat in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY on Friday, July 11, 2025. Grave site prayer will be led by Troy Horn. In lieu of owers, donations can be made to charity of choice in Frank's name.
