Frank R. Clemens, 76, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away on October 22, 2025, at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. Born on July 12, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, Frank lived a full and vibrant life defined by hard work, laughter, and genuine connection with everyone he met.
Frank attended The Ohio State University, where he was a member of the ROTC program, and later completed his associate degree at Franklin University in Columbus. He began his professional career in the automotive aftermarket industry, where his leadership as operations manager for 65 parts stores earned him the respect and friendship of colleagues across the region. After many successful years in Ohio, Frank and his wife, Cindy, moved to Virginia, where together they built a thriving 25-year career in real estate. Frank loved working alongside Cindy-the two made an exceptional team, known for their integrity, dedication, and warmth toward their clients.
Frank was a proud member of the Lions Club in Ohio and remained active in his community throughout his life. He was also a member of the National, State, and Local Associations of Realtors. Known for his outgoing personality, quick wit, and love of music, Frank could light up any room with a joke, a story, or a song. His charisma, kindness, and sense of humor made lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Cindy Clemens; children Julie Clemens (Randall Schweller), Teresa Curfman (Dave), Christine Clemens, and step-son Adam Queen (Sarah); grandchildren Thomas Holley (Shaeden), Anna Holley, and AJ Holley; and great-grandchildren Addalie Holley, JT Holley, and Konner Slone. He is also survived by his mother, Josephine Clemens; sister Mary DeCenzo (Mike); sister-in-law Cathy Neville; brother-in-law Jim Musgrove (Susan); and several nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank B. Clemens, and his sister Jody Stark and her husband Bob Stark.
Frank will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and humor-qualities that made him not only loved but unforgettable.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Frank's memory by making a donation to Habitat for Humanity, or by spending time with those you love-sharing laughter, telling a good joke, or singing your favorite song, karaoke-style, just as Frank would have wanted.
Services
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5:00–9:00 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA. Funeral services will also be held at the same location on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, located adjacent to the chapel. I had the privilege of working for Frank as an outside salesman when he was the General Manager at Advantage Auto in Norfolk. He took that group of stores to great levels while he was there. Frank had great relationships with customers and fellow employees. When he left Advantage to pursue his real estate career, Frank and Cindy assisted me in the sale of a rental home. They were both a great asset and I appreciated their guidance.
I considered Frank as a good friend and he will surely be missed. I pray God will give comfort to Cindy and the family. Please remember that Frank touched so many people in a positive way in your time of grief and sorrow.

Frank and Cindy were wonderful realtors and sold our house in Forest Lakes. So sad to hear of his passing.
