Publish in a newspaper

Frank H. "Butch" Cothran IV, age 70, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on November 6, 2025. He was born on December 16, 1954, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Frank H. Cothran III and Jean Phillips Mullis.
Frank "Butch" dedicated much of his career to public service as a plumbing inspector for Mecklenburg County, where he was known for his integrity, diligence, and strong work ethic. Prior to his time with Mecklenburg County, he was the proud owner of Mint Hill Plumbing Company, where he built lasting relationships through honesty, craftsmanship, and dedication to his community. He also served as Master of Masonic Lodge #742 in Mint Hill, North Carolina-an honor reflecting his commitment to leadership, service, and community.
A man of deep faith, Frank was a member of First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach and a part of the Kindred Spirits Sunday School class, where he found fellowship, joy, and spiritual strength.
In March 1978, he married the love of his life, Beverly McDaniel, and together they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. Known affectionately as "Butch," he was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed simple pleasures-especially fishing and attending church-and treasured the time spent with family and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved son, Blake Harrison Cothran; his mother, Jean Phillips Mullis; his grandparents, Frank and Jean Cothran, Talmadge and Burtice Phillips; and his beloved uncle, Tal Phillips.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly Cothran; his father, Frank H. Cothran III, and wife Charlotte; his sisters, Robin Price (Danny) and Wendy Powley (Mike); his sister-in-law, Nancy Rogers (Gill); his special aunts, Judy Phillips, Betsy Phillips, Diann Garges, and Charlotte Taylor, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins who brought him great joy throughout his life.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with Dr. Greg Hyler, pastor, officiating. Lunch will be provided after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach or to a charity of your choice.
Frank "Butch" Cothran IV lived a life marked by faith, love, service, and brotherhood. His kindness, strength, and steady spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Mr. Cothran is entrusted to Kelvin F. Lewis, the funeral director, and the Lewis Crematory & Funeral Home staff of Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 294-0011.
