Francis (Frank) Dinoto, 71 of
Ventnor City, N.J. passed away peacefully Wednesday April 26, 2023 at the Penn University Hospital due to Leukemia.
Frank was born November 18, 1951 in Atlantic City. He resided in Ventnor most of his life, spending countless hours on the Ventnor beach, and running on the boardwalk for 50+ years. He graduated from Saint James, was a proud Holy Spirit Spartan, and earned his B.S from Stockton State College. He was employed as a teacher, a cook in Sack O' Subs, and was an entrepreneur.
In his youth, he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. Frank was an avid surf kayaker (Yak) and earned a World Championship in the 70's for this unique style of surfing. Frank was a personable and caring person which allowed him to make many friends and acquaintances.
He was intelligent, funny, and loved to talk about sports, politics and his life experiences. In Frank's last days he looked to his family and said, "I can't complain, I lived a fulfilling life. I spent long days on the beach every Summer, ran countless miles, and caught some great waves."
Frank is survived by his wife of 43 years, Regina (Jeannie) and his five children; Nicole, Frank (Brandon Dinoto), Molly, Emily, and Nina; grandchildren Bobby and Jordan; sisters Muriel and Lizanne. Frank is preceded in death by his father and mother, Francis and Muriel Dinoto.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3rd, from 10am-12pm, followed by a service at 12pm, at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd., Linwood. Burial will be private.
