Frank Ferri

Frank Ferri, 94 of Tarpon Springs Florida, longtime resident of Staten Island, New York, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the age of 94.

Frank was born on June 20, 1931, and spent his life devoted to his family, work, faith, and the traditions he held dear. He was married to his beloved wife, Marie, for 64 years until her passing on October 23, 2014. Together, they built a strong and loving family grounded in Italian heritage, close-knit family values, and traditions. Frank worked his entire career at General Paper Goods, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Frank proudly served his country as a sergeant in The United States Army, serving for two years during the Korean War. Being a veteran was a source of quiet pride and honor throughout his life.

Proud of his Italian roots, Frank deeply valued Italian traditions and culture. He especially enjoyed Italian food and took great pride in preparing traditional Italian dishes, sharing meals, and gathering family around the table. These moments-filled with food, laughter, and togetherness-were at the heart of who he was.

Frank found joy in the everyday moments of life. He was a sports enthusiast who loved watching horse racing, football games and playing cards. A diehard New York Yankees fan, he looked forward to every game. Known for his competitive spirit, Frank liked to proudly claim that he never lost a game of cards-and on the rare occasion that he did, it was only because the other person must have been cheating. For many years, he and his wife, Marie, enjoyed traveling together and spending time at Villa Roma where he acquired many first-place medals for his skills in playing bocce. While living in Staten Island, he especially enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and time at the casino. In later years, he lived in Florida with his daughter, Victoria and her husband John. Above all else, Frank treasured spending time with his family, including the dogs, Cooper and Ollie, who brought him so much joy and companionship.

Frank was predeceased by his wife, Marie. He is survived by his children: JoAnne Vento and her husband, Frank; Michel Kuver and her husband, Michael Perez; Michael Ferri and his wife, Patricia Anne Agnello; and Victoria Serrantino and her husband, John. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Stacy Smerina and her husband, David; Lauren Cifelli and her husband, John; Frank Vento and his wife, Sharyn; Michael Ferri; John Serrantino; Steven Vento and his wife, Allyson; and Maria Serrantino. Frank was a proud great-grandfather to David Smerina; Diana Smerina and her fiancé, Anthony Basile; Lea Cifelli; J.J. Cifelli; Joseph Cifelli; Christian Vento; Graham Vento; and Addison Vento. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as his sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Ferri and Frances Deluca.

Frank's life was rooted in family, tradition, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit will live on at every family gathering, shared meal, and card game, and he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Marie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23rd, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, January 24th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
