Frank “Ted” Gargas Jr.

Frank C. "Ted" Gargas Jr., son of the late Frank C. Gargas and Anita Gendren Gargas, was born December 8, 1940, in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on August 26, 2025, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Ted married Kay McMillan in 1962 in Kennett. Kay preceded him in death in 1994. Ted was a cotton buyer and former owner of Friendship Gin, with his business partner Ben Byrd in Kennett for many years.

Two daughters: Lisa Gaye Gargas of Austin, Texas

Elizabeth Stanfield of San Marcos, Texas

Loving Devoted Companion of 25 years: Shirley Haley of Kennett

Other relatives and many friends

Ted was preceded in death by his sister: Sari Ann Colbe

Visitation will be 10:30 to 12:00 noon Thursday, August 28, 2025, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 12:00 pm at the McDaniel Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Seth Crawford, Noah Cunningham, Mark Wallace, Donnie Shelton, William Loggins and Thad Loggins. Honorary pallbearers: James Miller, Bill Kirby, Reggie Gillette, Chuck Minton, Don Shelton, Lisa Johnson, Don Collins, Richard Edgington Jr., Ben Byrd and John Henry Stephens. In Memory: Dan Byrd, John Wilder, Bob Watson, Kent Sexton and Gary Parr.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
