I would very much like to echo what Dan Hogan recently posted, especially about how the "revolutions" (Frank´s word) Frank led in the generator service and repair business are still in place, three decades later. That just doesn´t happen these days - new "flavors of the month" come and go, but Frank G. led an institutional change in this business that has stuck.
And as Dan said, I think Frank would be very pleased to not only know how much he is remembered and missed by his friends and colleagues - but - how his efforts had real staying power. That was really his goal.

Those of us who were lucky to have worked with Frank continue to talk of his contributions to GE and to our Generator business. Many of the programs Frank initiated are still in place today, much to our benefit.
I think Frank would be pleased to know how much he is remembered and missed by his friends and colleagues.

I was once sat in a restaurant in Milan with Frank when a guy came up to the table with roses. We burst out laughing and kindly rejected a purchase.
Frank always enjoyed European food, Spanish, Italian, Polish or French.
Good company, fond memories.

I think of Frank frequently, remembering visiting customers and suppliers, and building a support network in Europe. Most of all I remember how good a mentor he was, great with people, building friendships that last and having fun while doing all that.
A great presence that lasts.

I have been thinking about Frank quite a bit over the last year, I owe much to Franks inclusive ways, a irrepressible. influence to people to get out there and enjoy work or life. I believe they were the same thing to Frank. He is missed! RIP Frank.

I worked for Frank in the early 1970's and again through most of the 1990's. His knowledge and memory were absolutely astounding. He was a great man to work for and I for one will remember and miss him forever. Rest in Peace Frank.

Dear Margaret, Mark, Rebecca and the rest of the family,
We all share in your great loss. Frank was such a warm, loving, human being who enjoyed life to the fullest. It was our blessing to come to know him and to have him and Margaret in our family when Mark and Heidi married. We enjoyed sharing two amazing grandchildren who continue to make us proud!
There were many cruises we experienced together over the years, and I think going through the Panama Canal was one of his favorites, being an engineer. He shook a mean Margarita in Mexico! Zip lining on the Oasis was exciting! His photography was outstanding! A part of Frank will be with us always and may that be a consolation as we grieve.

Margaret and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Frank became a great friend through our years of riding together. Frank was always ready for an early Saturday morning (coffee and bagel) bike ride. I'm going to miss my riding buddy. Ride on Frank.

Dear Margaret and family members
I came to know Franck during his GE work in France and Europe, some 25 years back. He was so knowledgeable, we socialized and kept in touch ever since.
He even invited me to visit Schenectady, home of GE, company dear to his heart and second to his family.
He visited us in the Alps (se photo) at our place with the GE team and had dinner all together; these were memorable moments.
I sincerely want to express my deepest sympathy to you all that he cherished; for Franck was very human with noble soul.
May he now rest in peace in the Heavens of engineers and cyclists.

Frank was so much more than a leader: on top of the passion, dedication and grit he exuded, he was a people's person, building on personal relations like I have never seen anyone else do: from the moment he interviewed me to join GE during my honeymoon, to the last time playing pinball in his basement, he always made me feel part of the extended Garwatoski clan.
My sincerest condolences to Margaret and rest of the family.
Will see you back in Paradise, brother.

Frank and I met 41 years ago. He introduced me to BBQ chicken gizzards. I thought he was playing a joke on me but I was wrong. They were great and we had many gizzard-fests after that. He also got me riding my bike again and we rode hundreds, if not thousands of miles together. I will love and miss you, Brother. Until we meet again...

Certainly, Frank will always be remembered for his vision, leadership and contribution to the Business. But above all, Frank was a warm and considerate person who highly valued the people around him. It is the human side of Frank that drew people in and made everyone feel like they were appreciated. That was how Frank built so many effective teams.
A great mentor who inspired us all and who's friendship we'll value forever. Thank you Frank for all you did for us.

Deepest condolences to Margaret & the Garwatoski Family.
During our travels through Europe you were always in his thoughts he would often say Margaret would like this or Margaret would love to see this.
His passion for people and the business created a really great atmosphere to work and live. Those times will remain the fondest memories working with Frank and the team he created.
God bless you Frank.

Brother Frank,
You'll be sorely missed! I remember many of our trips together, and the great times we had working all over the world. I talked about you so much my wife knew who you were from my stories, and I think was a little jealous of our bond or maybe it was your great head of hair :)
You are a great friend, a true brother, and I love you!
God Bless you, and may his peace be with you for now and for ever more.

Frank will be greatly missed. He transformed the Power business but did it by including others, sharing his passion and making many friends globally. It will not be the same visiting the United States and not being able to catch up with Frank. Condolences to Margaret and family.
