Frank Getcy Obituary
Getcy, Frank, Jr. - age 88 of Lennon, passed away June 10, 2025. Veteran's honors and committal service will be held 9:30 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road., Holly, MI 48442, Frank was born March 23, 1937 in Flint, the son of Frank and Josephine (Brylinski) Getcy, Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving from 1954-1960. He married Joyce Elaine Jones on July 14, 1962 in Flint. Frank retired from General Motors Buick Motor Division in 1992 after 30 years of service. Frank was a devoted family man, proud Marine, and devout Catholic. Surviving are: wife, Joyce Getcy of Lennon; three children, Robin (Larry) Jenison, Steve Getcy, and Rebecca (John) Hamilton; four grandchildren, Jill Getcy (Brad) Lindsey, Nicole (Rob) Hargrave, Dan Hamilton, and Kelly (Nick) Phillips; great-granddaughter, Lanie Howell; and great great granddaughter, Lila. He was preceded in death by: his parents and two sisters, Maraline Foster and Shirley Pfeiffer. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473.
