I loved his work. Then I loved him. Then he was gone.
Unforgettable man. See you next lifetime, dear brilliant Frank.

Blessings to the Jacobs family. I loved his song parodies! I even took a whack at it myself during high school years. My classmates loved it and one teacher didn't. My dream job was to hang around a high rise office with Frank Jacobs, Al Jaffee, Don Martin and Mort Drucker killing each other with laughs. Thanks, Guys for raising me right.

Thanks for the "mad" memories. You helped shape my sarcastically brilliant sense of humor as a young man. Alfred E Neuman would be proud! RIP...Rest In Parody!

One of the most satisfying moments of childhood is when MAd Magazine hit the stands, and yes Spy vs. Spy was fantastic but those makeovers of movies, I can't of ant better entertainment for all.
My very sincere condolences to the Family, Friends and Fans of this comedic genius.
Until Monty Python hit the screen I can't think of a more outside of the box magazine for entertainment anywhere, and this is one of the people that made it happen.
What me worry Frank?

First, my condolences to Mr. Jacob's family and friends. Of course you know what a treasure he was to you personally, but have you any idea of how FUNNY he was in the pages of MAD Magazine? His song parodies used to bring me to tears of laughter as I began singing them (in my room, of course) before I could even finish the first verse he had written - of anything. They brought such joy to this Junior High nerd. I thank him wholeheartedly for the gift of such hearty laughter. (I think Irving Berlin was just sore because he didn't think of those clever verses first...) May your fondest memories of Mr. Jacobs comfort you all, and hopefully bring many warm smiles and a belly-laugh or two - after all, that was the gift he bestowed on so many generations of MAD Magazine readers. I think he would probably still appreciate hearing it. Try it; sing some of his parodies and see what happens. Be well.
