Frank "Chubby" was a good man with a big heart & would visit my family's house on the end of Helm Ave usually on Sunday to have a coffee & chat with my parents .... My father & him were good friends as we're our families.. Here is a picture from the early 70's of "Chubby" & my father in our driveway.. He was a legend at the Little League field as an umpire then became a crossing guard in the town of Wood-Ridge which he loved... Rest In Peace "Chubby"

To Aunt Denise, Uncle Frank, Alyssa, Kyle, Christy, and the rest of the Jadevaia family:
I am very saddened to hear of Mr. Jadevaia's passing. He was a wonderful and kind-hearted man, who I'll always remember as being so happy and having a positive outlook on life. It was always a joy to see him at family gatherings, and I'll never forget the many happy memories I have at him. One memory that sticks out is when the entire family played Dog Bingo on Christmas 2019, bringing together people ages 87 to 4 (Jasper). Mr. Jadevaia won the game once, and exclaimed, "I won!" That was truly a fun game to play as a family, and I still enjoy it today. My deepest condolences go out during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. My crazy story from when I first met Frank was when I was picking up my daughter at Doyle School. I had my grandfather's Maxwell house jacket on, and Frank said to me, and I quote "where did you get that jacket". Well, I'm from Jersey City so I gave it back to him, lol we started talking and come to find out my grandfather was his foremen at Maxwell house AND he didn't care for him (my grandfather). I thought this dude, yet we were cracking up, Frank did like my Uncle George & my Uncle Ray they all played on the same team. What a great soul, many great memories with him. May he rest in peace, thank you for always watching out for our kids.
Sincerely,
Valerie, Harlee, Nicholas and Cheyenne

Mr J was a Helm Ave Wood/Ridge icon . He gave me my first Job as a youth. Many of games Mr J was behind home plate. I was on the first base line . Took him three years before he let me go behind the plate. Always put out his hand to say hello to me . Let the lord shower you with his love till eternity . And peace surround the Jadavia family at this time of sorrow .
RIP Mr J
