Frank Lombardino III

A Funeral Mass for Frank “Rusty” Lombardino III, 70, will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 4700 Palmetto Rd., Benton, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Monsignor Matthew Long.

Rusty was born on December 28, 1954, to Frank “Lum” Lombardino, Jr., and Madge Vaughn Lombardino in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, in Benton, Louisiana.

Rusty was a man of strength, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family, his community, and every professional path he pursued. A 1973 graduate of Fair Park High School, Rusty spent the next four decades leading by example in both business and life. He was married to the love of his life, Stacy, for 41 wonderful years, a bond built on devotion, partnership, and shared purpose.

From his early years as a salesman at Evans Sporting Goods (1973–1975) and conductor for Kansas City Southern Railroad (1975–1980) to his time with Kirby Restaurant Supply (1990–1992), Rusty brought integrity and dedication to every role. His career found its true home at Ben E. Keith Foods, where he served from 1992 until his retirement in 2019. There, he wasn’t just a District Sales Rep—he was a mentor, a motivator, and one of the Shreveport branch’s most respected sales leaders. In 2006, Rusty received the Johnny Beauchamp Award, the company’s highest sales honor—a testament to his excellence and impact on the food service industry.

Outside of work, Rusty was a passionate sportsman and avid golfer. A longtime member and board member of the Shreveport Gun Club, he also found great fulfillment in teaching. He gave back generously to the next generation, helping lead summer shooting camps hosted by the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Department and mentoring 4-H youth in the fundamentals of shooting sports.

Rusty served his community with that same spirit, holding seats on the Bossier Republican Parish Executive Committee and the Louisiana State PEC Board. Yet his proudest titles were those of husband, father, and “Pops.” His love for his children was fierce and unwavering, but his heart belonged wholly to his grandchildren, whom he adored beyond measure.

Rusty will be remembered as a pillar of leadership, a selfless teacher, a beloved family man, and a friend whose presence left every room a little better than he found it.

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Madge Lombardino. Left to cherish the memory of Rusty are his beloved wife, Stacy Bivens Lombardino of Benton, LA; sons, SFC Justin Coleman Lombardino of Columbus, GA, and Frank Chase Lombardino, and wife, Katie of Benton, LA; grandchildren, Lily Clary, Lyla Lombardino, Olivia Thomas, and Coleman Lombardino; brother, Micheal Lombardino, and wife, Ann of Bossier City, LA; sisters, Irene Lombardino of Evergreen, CO, Lisa Lombardino Gilbert and husband, Miles of Shreveport, LA, and Gina Lombardino of Bossier City, LA; half-sister, Kathrine Huffman from Channelview, TX, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

Honoring Rusty as pallbearers will be Jack James, Chase Lombardino, SFC Justin Lombardino, Michael Lombardino, Patrick Lombardino, and Josh Wilkinson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Aycock, Miles Gilbert, Vince Maggio, Darrell McDaniel, John Montelepre III, and Paul D. Williams.

The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Attila Balough and staff, Dr. Anil Veluvolu and staff, and Gentiva Hospice and staff for all of their care and compassion given.
