Frank Mason Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home - Morrisville on Jun. 6, 2025.
Frank L. Mason, 74, rooted deeply in Georgetown NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Onondaga Center, Minoa. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle to many family members. He was born on May 31, 1951, in Schenectady the son of the late Edward (Bud) V. and Elizabeth (Betty) J. (Winn) Mason. Frank proudly grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Otselic Valley High School. After school he went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force as a Military Policeman.
Frank settled back in Georgetown where he built a life grounded in laughter, love of his family, and an unshakable love for the outdoors. He would relax on weekends by casting a line in the river and fishing many afternoons away. If you stopped in to spend time with Frank, you would no doubt find him grilling up some dinner. He would undoubtedly have a game on the tv and would be cheering on his favorite team, the BUFFALO BILLS. His love for the simple pleasures was only matched by his loyalty to his friends. He was the kind of man that would lend an ear, share a story, or offer you a delicious grilled burger. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of music trivia and history and proved it, time and again, with his games of trivia. Frank was predeceased by his loving sister Mary (David) Wentworth.
Frank is survived by his son Eric Mason of Canastota; a daughter Tammy Mason (Jeff Reandeau) of N. Pitcher; his sister, Nancy Dennis; brothers, Edward (Diana) Mason, Jr., Lyle Mason; grandchildren, Morgan, Mya and Meadow Mason, Armani Edmunds, Alexus White (John LaFever) and Abiana White; great grandchildren, Jacari and Angelo Mkono.
All of who he loved deeply and proudly. Frank has cast his final line and grilled his final burger, but the love he freely gave will last on in every backyard campfire talk. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
Friends are invited and may call on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, NY 13408.
Military Honors will be performed at the conclusion of visitation.
Service and internment will be held at the convenience of the family.
