McLaughlin, Francis (Frank) Patrick – 79, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on January 1, 2024. He was born in Darby, PA and grew up in Lansdowne, PA and Drexel Park, he enjoyed summers in Margate with his family. He attended St. Andrew’s grade school and graduated from St. Joe’s Prep and St. Joseph’s University. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a mortgage broker for over 40 years. He was well known for his sense of humor and storytelling. He was a huge U2 fan and followed them all over the world. He really enjoyed watching the Eagles and binge-watching TV. But most importantly, he was a wonderful father to his daughter Maura and grandfather to his grandchildren Gavin and Grace Atchison.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Maura and Jerry Atchison and his grandchildren, Gavin and Grace Atchison. Also, his sisters and brothers: Mimi Martin, Jim McLaughlin and Chrissy Wendt (Jay); sister-in-law Mary Lou McLaughlin. He was predeceased by his brother Jay McLaughlin and parents, Dr. John McLaughlin, MD and Frances (nee Higgins). He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his jokes and stories will live on.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Saturday, January 6, 2024, 10:00 - 10:45 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064, followed by his Funeral Mass, 11:00 AM. Interment private.
