Frank John Merx

Merx; Frank John – It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our husband and father. Frank passed away in Victoria on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 72 years of age.
Predeceased by his parents Edward and Marjorie Merx as well as one brother Kenneth, he is survived by his family, loving wife Kathleen "Kathy", daughter Tanya, son Glen (Corrine), granddaughter Helena, sister Jeanette Semko (Ken), nephew Todd Semko and numerous other relatives and many friends.
Frank worked at the Pulp Mill until his retirement in the late 1990's. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50yrs and was involved with the Shriners, Job's Daughters and the Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a longtime member of Cedar Grove Reformed Church and a devoted family man. He loved the ocean, fishing, swimming and boating. He also enjoyed curling, camping, ballroom dancing, and music of all kinds.
A service of remembrance will be held at 1:30pm on Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005-6th Avenue with Pastor Per Knudson officiating. Cremation has taken place.
