Frank "Francis" Hiroshi Nakao passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 80. He was born in Honokaa on July 21, 1944. Frank graduated from Waimea High School in 1962, Woodbury University in 1966 with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration and Management and was honorably discharged in 1972 after serving in the Air National Guard for six years. He worked for IBM Corporation and was also an auditor for Union Oil Company prior to starting Richfield Capital Corporation, a mortgage brokerage company he owned with his brother Myron, in California. He was an avid beach volleyball, racquetball, paddle tennis and tennis player. He moved to Oahu in 1992 after living in California for 30 years. He was a Mortgage Consultant with Spectrum Mortgage prior to retiring.
Frank is pre-deceased by his mother, Fumie Beppu, grandparents Shigezo & Tamayo Nakao and biological father, Hisao Teraoka. He is survived by his father, Harry Beppu, sister Reni (Steven) Pereira, brothers John (Irene) Teraoka, Wesley (Della) Teraoka, Michael (Elaine) Teraoka, Wade (Susan Shiroma) Teraoka, sister JoAnn (Randy Yamamoto) Tanaka as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
A memorial service was held at Oahu Mortuary on March 15, 2025.
