Francis "Frank" James Kowalik, age 82, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, due to natural causes.

Born on August 20, 1943, in North Tonawanda, New York, Frank was the only son among five children. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business, solidifying his dedication to education and personal growth.Frank's professional journey culminated in a career at General Motors, where he made significant contributions to the automotive industry before retiring.

Upon his retirement, he enjoyed buying and selling used good at Trader's Mart flea market, where he would meet the love of his life, Dorothy, where she won him over with her cook-to-order breakfasts. A proud Veteran of the United States Navy, Frank served honorably from December 21, 1961, until his discharge on December 20, 1967, attaining the rank of E-4. His time in the Navy instilled in him a lifelong sense of service and dedication. In his later years,

Frank found joy in the simple pleasures of life, engaging in recycling scrap metal, often tearing apart commercial AC units or stopping on the street to load old appliances. He loved hanging out with his friends across the street at "the shop" and making sure he kept up with all that was happening in their businesses.

He loved spending time with family and having good conversation. He especially loved when the gatherings included eating home-cooked meals. He loved celebrating any academic achievements, especially his grandchildren graduating from college and leading successful lives.

Frank is survived by his beloved spouse, Dorothy House; sons, Andrew and Kevin Kowalik; stepdaughter, Terri Garcia. and son-in-law, Joe Garcia; grandchildren, Kate, Khloe and Judy Kowalik, Jeremy, Amber, and Elijah Garcia; great-granddaughter, Reagan Garcia; his sisters, Bernadette Colgrove, Theresa Karr, Marie Kowalik, along with their husbands, Tom Colegrove, Norman Karr and their respective families and brother-in-law, Roger Tota, and niece, Sarah Shanor.

The family will hold a public viewing on December 2, 2025, at Guerrero Dean Funeral Home at 6:00 PM to 8 PM. Following these services, Frank's remains will be cremated, honoring his wishes. He will receive Military Honors at Dallas Fort-Worth National Cemetery at 9 am on Friday, December 5, 2025, preceding his final committal.

Frank James Kowalik will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to family, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
