Frank "Butch" Pavlich
Frank "Butch" Pavlich, 89, of Port Orange, FL, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, surrounded by family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and faithful Catholic, Frank shared 51 loving years of marriage with his wife, Pamela.
A proud U.S. Marine who served during the Korean War Era, Frank later earned his degree from Northwestern University and worked over 30 years with the Department of Defense and Department of Interior. After retiring, he and Pamela moved to Florida, where he enjoyed a second career as a Tax Advisor and was an active member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Frank alongside his wife loved mountain climbing, running marathons, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lillian Spota and stepfather Tony Spota, and his father Frank Pavlich as well as his brother in laws: Raymond and Corey.
He is survived by his wife Pamela; son Gregory (Kathleen); grandson Nicklas (Alora); sisters Nancy and Antonette; sister-in-law Sharon; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, and father.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 8, 2025, from 9:00–10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church, Joliet, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will take place at 12:30 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
