Frank J. Petrillo Jr.

Frank J. Petrillo Jr., a cherished family man and a lifelong resident of New York, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in Hopewell Junction, NY. He was born on November 7, 1947, in Yonkers, NY, to the late Frank Petrillo Sr. and Gloria Petrillo.
Frank graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, NY and soon after, began a career that would span many years as a Produce Associate with Pathmark Grocery Store in Yonkers, NY. His dedication to his work was paralleled only by his commitment to his family.
He is survived by his loving mom Gloria Petrillo, wife, Jennifer Petrillo, his ex-wife Regina Clark, and his children, Frank Petrillo III and his wife Kimberly, Donna Petrillo and her partner Albert Scardera Jr., Michael Petrillo, Anthony Petrillo, Victoria Petrillo, and Meadowbrook Petrillo and his granddaughters, Ashley and Gianna. His siblings, John Colombo, Carol Kelly, James Petrillo, Gloria Planamenta, Joanne Whelan, and Thomas Petrillo, all survive him. He is predeceased by his first wife, Marilyn O'Brien Petrillo who passed away in 2007.
Family was the cornerstone of Frank's life. A loyal NY Mets fan, he found solace and excitement in the game of baseball. Frank was also a golfer and took great pleasure in playing around with friends. His love for cooking was well known, with his signature dish, Chicken Flamingo, being a family favorite. Frank's simple pleasures included the enjoyment of ice pops, a treat he absolutely loved.
As the well-known quote by Helen Keller goes, "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose; all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Frank deeply loved and is deeply loved, his spirit forever a part of the many lives he touched. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Home, 418 Route 6 (GPS US-6), Mahopac, NY.
A Prayer Service and Blessing to honor Frank's life will take place during the visitation at 6:30 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Home.
A private cremation will follow.
