Frank Petrino Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Decker-Givnish Funeral Home on Jun. 25, 2025.
Frank J. Petrino, of Hatboro, passed away on June 23, 2025. He was 88. Frank was born on March 6, 1937 in Philadelphia to the late John and late Marianne Petrino. He is the beloved husband of 66 years to Constance "Connie" Petrino (nee – Lauria); father of Vincent Petrino, Mark Petrino Michael Petrino and his wife Deborah, and Melissa Hreczan and her husband John; grandfather of Michael Petrino, Anthony Petrino, Julia Petrino, Daniel Dutton, and Ashley Dutton; brother of the late Ralph Petrino, the late John Petrino, the late Mary Pacifico, and the late Lucille Harris; brother-in-law of the late Vincent Lauria.
Frank was raised and educated in the neighborhood surrounding the intersection of 13th and Shunk in South Philadelphia, a proud graduate of South Philadelphia High School. Frank's family home shared the front stoop with the Lauria family, and it was here, whether he knew it or not, where he would meet the love of his life, Connie, when she asked him to attend her prom. The two were smitten, married, enjoyed 66 years of wedded bliss. The couple raised four children along the way, and spent each day just as in love as the first. Frank was a dedicated family man who adored his wife, children, and grandchildren.
During his time in the workforce, Frank spent his time in building trades, retiring as the Purchasing Manager of Gilbane Building Company after 35 years of service. In his free time, he loved to read and play cards, was a huge Philadelphia sports fan with longtime season tickets to the Eagles, and spending time with his family. Frank was an active member of the Ben Wilson Senior Center and parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Church in Warminster.
Family and friends are invited to join in Frank's Life Celebration on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. at Nativity of Our Lord Church, located at 605 Street Road, Warminster, PA 18974. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. Lunch will be served at La Cena afterward.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's name can be made to either the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) or to St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
