Frank Porter Obituary
Plainfield, NH - Frank "Perry" Porter, 87, of Plainfield, NH, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, at Elm Wood Center in Claremont, NH, after an extended illness. He was born in Hanover NH on January 27, 1938, to Frank Robert Porter and Mary Frances (Blanchard) Porter. He attended Hartford High School and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
Perry's first marriage was to Janet Thurston and together they had four children: Christine, Carolene, Michael and Jeffrey. In 1978, Perry married Brenda Lizotte and together they had a daughter, Melissa. They recently celebrated their 47 th wedding anniversary.
Perry is survived by his wife Brenda Porter of Plainfield, NH; his children: Carol Babcock of Rochester, NH; Mike Porter and Jeff Porter of Keene, NH and Melissa Pinkley of Enfield, NH. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren, including Jacob who resided with him, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Perry was predeceased by his parents, his brother Robert, sister Cleora Simonds, daughter Christine Wheeler and grandson Justin Laundry.
At his request there will be no service at this time. A private gathering will be held in the spring.
His family wishes to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the VA Medical Centers of White River Jct, VT and Manchester, NH, Elm Wood Center and Hospice of NH and VT, for their wonderful care and support for Perry over the years.
