Frank Archie Prunty, 87, entered into his heavenly home on December 2, 2022. He was born on March 23, 1935 in Pittsylvania County to the late Mary Witcher Prunty and the late John Henry Prunty. He was predeceased by his wife Patsy Wilson Prunty.
Frank was of the Baptist faith and worked for the Lane Company in Altavista, VA as a factory worker. He had a special passion for hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son; Ronnie Prunty of Richmond, VA., daughters; Brenda Prunty of Chatham, VA., Kitty Prunty of Danville, VA., Priscilla Prunty of Danville, VA., Doretha Smith (Phelarn) of Richmond, VA., sisters; Barbara Wilson of Dry Fork, VA., Frances Adkins of Dry Fork, VA., grandchildren; Michelle, Amber, Taneka, Renida, Markquez, Mario, Shekita, Charlita, Jasmine, Terrance, Jeremy, Angie, Monica, Monique, Shiwann, Shanane, a host of great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his daughter; Melissa Hairston, brothers; James Prunty, Willie Prunty, Irvin Prunty, Thurman Prunty, sisters; Louise Prunty, Margaret Day, grandchildren; Kavodra, Marquis, LaShawn and Brence.
A funeral will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 2:00PM at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Preceanna Craft officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00PM at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. Interment will take place at Watson Level Baptist Church 2900 Toshes Road Chatham, VA 24531.
