Frank Reising Obituary
Frank Reising
Born: October 21, 1932 in Piper City, IL
Died: October 31, 2025 in Richland Center, WI
Frank G. Reising, 93, left his earthly home and was welcomed into God's heavenly kingdom on Friday, October 31, 2025. Frank was born on October 21, 1932 in Piper City, IL to Eugene and Frances (Fitzmaurice) Reising. He met and fell in love with Vietta Loudenbeck. They were married on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1953 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hartland, IL. They shared 72 years of marriage and devotion to each other. Frank was a United States Army veteran. His miliary career took him to Fort Chaffee, AR, Fort Bliss, TX, Fort Mammoth, NJ, and the NIKE Missile Sites in NYC.
Following his military career, his family lived in Capron, IL, where he worked at Arnold Engineering and Emmett Blazier Disposal Service. After a few years, they moved to Pekin, IL, where Frank worked for a large farm corporation. When an opportunity opened up for him to begin farming on his own, they moved to Harvard, IL. Frank crop farmed, working at Arnold Engineering, drove gas truck part-time and occasionally was a substitute bus driver. Raising a family of eight children was quite an undertaking and accomplishment!
Even with his busy schedule, Frank always found time for family and fun. He and Vietta spent many Saturday nights dancing at the Moose Lodge or playing cards with friends. He enjoyed golf, playing on a league and even having a "Hole-In-One" trophy.
Years later, they bought a dairy farm in Loyal, WI where they worked side by side for a few years. A new opportunity opened up for Frank. He bought a semi-tractor/trailer rig and hauled butter and cheese to New York City every week. His rig was easy to spot as it had a large Holstein cow and Grassland Butter painted on the side.
After retirement, Frank and Vietta enjoyed the Florida life for many years before moving back to the Midwest to be closer to family. They made their home in Richland Center, WI.
A strong constant in Frank's life was his Christian upbringing and his faith and trust in God. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Richland Center, WI. Even when unable to attend in person, he would participate in Mass and the Rosary on the Catholic television station.
Frank always enjoyed visiting with people. Striking up a conversation with just about anyone-anywhere was one of his special traits. He made many lifelong friends easily.
He was definitely a hard worker, always having a project in the works. If something was broken, he'd find a way to fix it.
Frank will be missed by all who knew him, and no one will ever be able to fill his shoes.
Frank is survived by his loving and grateful children: Debbie (George) Oldham, of Harvard, IL, Steve (Judy) Reising of Stratford, WI, Lisa (Don) Lacy of Dahinda, IL, Carla (Glen) Aumann of Loyal, WI, Rita (Andy) Kellogg of Viola, WI, Barb (Bill) Trindal of DePere, WI, Bert (Cole) Reising of Oelwein, IA; son-in-law: John (Deb) Franseen of Stratford, WI; 32 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister Gloria (Bob) Moff; brothers: Bernard (Roberta) Reising and Kenneth (Virginia) Reising; sisters-in-law: Verda Blazier and Shirley Rice; brothers-in-law: LaVerne (Betty) Loudenbeck; a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
