Frank Simon Obituary
July 15, 1948 – August 23, 2024
Frank Simon, 76, a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend passed away on August 23, 2024 at Keck Hospital of USC.
Frank was born to Gordon and Alice Simon on July 15, 1948. He grew up attending local schools and graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1966. Frank graduated from Bakersfield College and then began a career as a real estate broker in 1971. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Guadalupe during the Vietnam War.
As an avid fisherman, Frank enjoyed spending time on the Central Coast, Mexico, and various lakes in California. He never missed an opening day of dove season and could be found most weekends with his black lab, Molly, at the Escondido Club during duck season.
In the kitchen, Frank enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He will be remembered mostly for his hearty laugh, his love of his family and his strong will.
Frank is survived by his wife Diane Simon; daughter Jennifer (Brent), grandson Colin, son Gordon and granddaughter Kayla; 4 stepsons Bob, Michael, Brian and Jason Bedillion and 13 step grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by grandparents, Frank and Joan Simon, parents, Gordon and Alice Simon; sister, Judy Simon and brother, Jon Simon, and 1 step granddaughter Alexis Bedillion.

Frank, tell me this isn't so , you have been the most knowledgeable real estate sales, broker that I have ever come in contact with in over 45 years, but, there always has to be a but, you always went above and beyond with your clients welfare in mind, here comes Another, but, but that's not the reason I kept buying and selling properties with you as a broker it's mainly because of the smoked Turkeys each year.(lol) I sure will miss sending and receiving messages from you talking about our world situation. I sure will miss you Frank and I know many many many others will also. As one Viet Nam Vet to another rest in peace, brother, I will see you sometime in the future and I do hope you have your smoker going when I get there.
